For travelers wanting to begin their adventure even earlier, the optional Australia Pre Adventure offers two unforgettable nights at the Crocodile Hunter Lodge, immersive wildlife encounters at Australia Zoo, and the opportunity to experience the incredible conservation legacy of Steve Irwin and the Irwin family before joining the Fellowship in Sydney.
This isn't just another vacation. It's a thoughtfully curated journey designed to bring together family, friends, and fellow adventurers who share a love of exploration, meaningful experiences, and discovering the world one unforgettable chapter at a time.

This inaugural Guided Adventure marks the beginning of a dream, the international launch of Into An Adventure Travel's Guided Adventures. As I take this exciting next step, I couldn't imagine sharing it with anyone other than the family and friends who have encouraged, supported, and believed in this journey from the very beginning.

DAY 2 - The Road Goes Ever On and On

Like Bilbo and Frodo leaving the Shire, today is about embracing the journey itself. As we cross the International Date Line and leap ahead through time, take the opportunity to rest, dream, and prepare for the unforgettable experiences waiting on the other side of the Pacific. DAY 3 - Welcome to Australia

Welcome to Sydney! After arriving, we'll settle into a charming boutique hotel nestled in one of Sydney's oldest and most historic neighborhoods, where beautifully restored heritage buildings and cobblestone streets offer an authentic glimpse into the city's past. Once refreshed, we'll spend the afternoon exploring the vibrant harbor district, taking in spectacular views of the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge before wandering lively waterfront promenades filled with history, culture, and local charm. As the sun begins to set, we'll gather for an unforgettable welcome dinner aboard a harbor cruise, where incredible cuisine, sparkling city lights, and panoramic views create the perfect beginning to our Australian adventure.
DAY 4 - Sydney Icons

This morning begins with peaceful gardens, towering fig trees, and breathtaking views overlooking one of the world's most recognizable harbors. As we make our way through Sydney's beautiful waterfront, you'll experience the city's perfect blend of natural beauty and iconic architecture. This afternoon is yours to customize with your included Adventure Credit. Whether you choose to climb the Harbour Bridge, tour the world famous Opera House, visit native Australian wildlife, cruise across the harbor, or simply relax at a waterfront café, today is designed to let you experience Sydney in the way that excites you most. This evening we'll come together for dinner inside one of Australia's oldest continuously operating gathering places, where centuries of history and warm hospitality provide the perfect setting to share stories from the day.
DAY 5- Journey to New Zealand

Today we leave Australia behind and cross the Tasman Sea to New Zealand, where dramatic landscapes and rich storytelling become the backdrop for the next chapter of our adventure. After arriving in Wellington, we'll settle into a stylish city hotel perfectly located for exploring New Zealand's vibrant capital. Tonight we'll enjoy our first New Zealand dinner together, celebrating the beginning of our Middle Earth adventure while getting to know the city we'll call home for the next two days.
DAY 6- Behind the Magic

Today is every Lord of the Rings fan's dream. Go behind the scenes at the legendary Wētā Workshop and discover how artists, designers, and craftsmen transformed imagination into one of the greatest film trilogies ever created. Then step directly into Middle Earth as we stand atop Mount Victoria where the Hobbits first hid from the Black Rider, visit the peaceful forests that became Rivendell, explore the beautiful Gardens of Isengard, and walk alongside the mighty Great River Anduin. Along the way, your expert guide will share fascinating filming stories, movie secrets, and behind the scenes details that bring these incredible locations to life. A Hobbit inspired lunch and dinner in one of Wellington's beloved local gathering places complete a day filled with movie magic.
Day 7 - Middle Earth Scenic Journey

Today's drive showcases why New Zealand was chosen as Middle Earth. Travel through the volcanic heart of Tongariro National Park where Mount Ngauruhoe rose from the landscape as Mount Doom and the surrounding wilderness became the desolate plains of Mordor. Visit Tawhai Falls, instantly recognizable as Gollum's Pool from The Two Towers, admire the dramatic scenery along the Desert Road, and pause at the brilliant blue waters of Huka Falls before continuing into the lush rolling farmland of the Waikato region. This evening we'll arrive at one of the most unique accommodations of the entire journey, a peaceful countryside retreat where homemade breakfasts, farm to table meals, warm hospitality, and evenings around the fire invite you to slow down and experience the heart of rural New Zealand.
DAY 8 - The Shire Awaits

If you've ever dreamed of stepping into Tolkien's world, today is the day. Wander through the rolling green hills of Hobbiton, peek inside charming Hobbit Holes, stand beneath the Party Tree, and stroll the winding paths that brought the Shire to life on screen. Raise a drink inside the famous Green Dragon Inn before enjoying a feast worthy of Hobbits. Then, as the last daytime visitors depart, experience something few travelers ever do, an exclusive lantern lit walk through the peaceful village after dark. Watching the warm lights glow from the Hobbit Holes beneath the evening sky is pure magic and one of the most unforgettable moments of the entire adventure.
DAY 9 - A Taste of Rural New Zealand

Today reveals another side of New Zealand's beauty. Journey beneath the earth on a peaceful boat ride through the enchanting Waitomo Glowworm Caves, where thousands of tiny glowing lights create the illusion of a star filled night sky deep underground. Later, enjoy time exploring the charming town known as the gateway to Hobbiton, browsing unique local shops, discovering Middle Earth inspired treasures, and soaking in the relaxed pace of small town New Zealand. As evening falls, we'll return to our countryside retreat for another delicious farm to table dinner and one final evening gathered around the fire beneath brilliant southern skies.
DAY 10 - Rotorua & Māori Culture

Prepare for one of the most meaningful days of our journey. Rotorua's geothermal landscape is unlike anywhere else on Earth, where colorful mineral pools, bubbling mud, steaming vents, and volcanic activity remind us that New Zealand is constantly alive beneath our feet. Wander beneath the towering redwoods before spending the evening immersed in the traditions of the Māori people. Through a traditional welcome, powerful haka performances, storytelling, music, and an authentic hāngī feast prepared using generations old techniques, you'll gain a deeper appreciation for the culture, history, and spirit that continue to shape Aotearoa today.
DAY 11 - There and Back Again

Like Bilbo returning home with memories that changed him forever, today we begin our own journey home. Before departing, we'll enjoy one final stop along Auckland's beautiful waterfront, where ocean views, charming cafés, boutique shopping, and a relaxed coastal atmosphere offer the perfect ending to our adventure. As we make our way to the airport, you'll leave with incredible photographs, unforgettable experiences, new friendships, and stories you'll be sharing for years to come. After all, every great adventure deserves a wonderful ending... and perhaps the beginning of the next one.
Registrants are asked to book return flight homes from Auckland to the US with an afternoon or evening departure time.

Important Information

Your investment includes carefully selected boutique and premium accommodations throughout the adventure. Each property has been thoughtfully selected for its comfort, unique character, exceptional location, and included breakfast, creating an authentic experience that reflects the spirit of each destination.
Optional Pre-Adventure Accommodations: Guests participating in the Australia Pre Adventure will stay together in a private Crocodile Hunter Lodge cabin. Each cabin can accommodate two- six guests and offer a comfortable, shared lodging experience that complements the adventure and allows the group to fully enjoy the unique surroundings of the Australian Outback.
Main-Adventure accommodations are based on double occupancy for travelers booking together. Roommate preferences may be submitted at the time of booking. Based on the anticipated group size and rooming arrangements for this adventure, Into An Adventure Travel expects to provide private accommodations for up to two solo travelers in Sydney and Wellington at no additional cost. Final room assignments are dependent upon the composition of the group and cannot be guaranteed until registration has closed.
One of the highlights of this adventure is our unique accommodation near Hobbiton. Because of the property's distinctive layout, some guests may be asked to share accommodations for this portion of the trip. By reserving the entire property exclusively for our group, we'll enjoy an unforgettable experience that simply wouldn't be possible at a traditional hotel.

Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of the required deposit. Payments are due according to the published payment schedule. Because reservations, accommodations, and activities are secured well in advance, payment deadlines are firm. Travelers who reserve after an established payment deadline may be required to pay any missed installment(s) at the time of booking.

Due to the nature of this small group guided adventure, accommodations, transportation, and activities are reserved and paid for well in advance. All payments are nonrefundable.
If a traveler is no longer able to participate, Into An Adventure Travel will make reasonable efforts to assist the traveler in finding a replacement participant to purchase their reservation at the original booking price, subject to availability and any supplier requirements.
If a replacement traveler is secured and all supplier reservations can be successfully transferred, Into An Adventure Travel will refund the original traveler any recoverable funds, less any nonrecoverable supplier charges, processing fees, or transfer costs.
If a replacement traveler cannot be secured, no refund will be issued.
Travel insurance that includes trip cancellation and interruption coverage is strongly recommended and should be purchased shortly after booking.

While every effort will be made to operate this guided adventure as published, Into An Adventure Travel reserves the right to modify the itinerary, accommodations, transportation, activities, meal locations, or daily schedule when necessary due to circumstances beyond our control. These circumstances may include, but are not limited to, weather conditions, natural disasters, road closures, transportation delays or cancellations, supplier availability, government restrictions, safety concerns, mechanical issues, or other unforeseen events.
Any itinerary adjustments will be made with the safety, comfort, and overall experience of the group in mind. No refunds or compensation will be provided for changes resulting from circumstances beyond the reasonable control of Into An Adventure Travel.

Travel involves inherent risks, including but not limited to accidents, illness, injury, property loss or damage, transportation delays, adverse weather, natural disasters, and the actions of third party suppliers.
By participating in this guided adventure, each traveler acknowledges and voluntarily assumes these risks.
Into An Adventure Travel serves as the organizer and host of this guided adventure and acts only as an intermediary between travelers and independent suppliers, including airlines, hotels, transportation providers, restaurants, tour operators, and attraction operators. Into An Adventure Travel is not responsible or liable for any injury, illness, death, accident, loss, damage, delay, inconvenience, or expense arising from the acts or omissions of these independent suppliers or from circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
Participants are responsible for exercising good judgment, following local laws, adhering to safety instructions provided by guides and operators, and maintaining appropriate personal health and fitness for the activities included in the itinerary.
Travel insurance that includes trip cancellation, interruption, medical expenses, emergency evacuation, and baggage protection is strongly recommended for all participants.

Participants are responsible for ensuring they possess a valid passport, obtain any required visas or travel authorizations, meet all applicable entry requirements, including any required vaccinations, immunizations, health documentation, or other government mandated travel requirements, disclose any medical conditions or mobility limitations that may affect participation, and purchase any recommended travel insurance. Participants are also responsible for arriving at scheduled meeting locations on time, complying with all instructions provided by local guides, transportation providers, and Into An Adventure Travel during the guided adventure, and ensuring they are physically able to participate in the activities included in the itinerary.

By submitting a reservation and paying the required deposit, the traveler acknowledges that they have read, understand, and agree to all Terms and Conditions established by Into An Adventure Travel. This includes, but is not limited to, the payment policy and schedule, cancellation policy, itinerary changes and force majeure policy, assumption of risk and limitation of liability, participant responsibilities, and all other policies related to this guided adventure. Submission of a deposit constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and creates a binding agreement between the traveler and Into An Adventure Travel.
